Refreshing a much-loved food brand for retail growth

SCOPE: Brand development, visual identity, art direction, packaging boxes, sleeves and labels

SamosaCo is a well-established favourite in the Welsh food sector, known for fresh samosas, bhajis, sauces and their distinctive Onion Bhaji Scotch Egg.

They approached Elevator to brand a new range of individual curry pots and we took the opportunity to refresh the overall identity, simplifying the logo and developing a clearer, more confident symbol aligned with their vegan ethos.

We also developed the organising idea “Food with Atma” - Atma meaning soul or spirit - which became central to the brand’s voice and visual expression.

A traditional Indian pattern system, used in varied colourways, differentiates products across the range. This was paired with vibrant food photography to give the packaging strong shelf impact.

The identity has since been applied across curry pots, Scotch Egg packs, chutneys and sauces, many of which are now stocked in major supermarkets.
